Microsoft first introduced "Timeline" to the general public in the April 2018 update, along with a host of other features. Basically, it enables users to keep track of their work, including what files have been accessed recently, and in which app, while also roaming this data across all their devices.
However, the ability to view recently opened webpages through this feature was only made available for Edge on Windows, iOS, and Android - which obviously turned out to be an issue for users who prefer other browsers. A few weeks ago, however, this issue was remedied by the introduction of the "Windows Timeline Support" add-on for Google Chrome, Firefox and Vivaldi, created by Dominic Maas, developer of SoundByte. As expected, it expanded support for viewing and accessing recent webpages from the aforementioned browsers as well.
In a tweet posted a few hours ago, Maas has now notified his followers that the Timeline integration add-on has been taken down because of the "Windows" trademark, and that the fixed version is still pending review on the Chrome Web Store.

Attempting to download the plugin on Chrome right now will bring up a 404 error, as it has been removed from the browser"s Web Store. Interestingly, upon inquiry, Maas informed us that he had not received any takedown notice from Mozilla. He has, however, changed the name of the extension, with the fixed version already available for download as a Firefox add-on. The new version of the extension offers all the features present before without any changes - the only exception being the name of the plugin, which now reads "Timeline Support".
It is unclear as of yet when this plugin will be available on Chrome again given that it is still pending review, despite being submitted a couple of days ago.
