Today, Tinder has announced the launch of various new features that give its users more freedom and different options to connect with different people. These features include a new Explore section that enables members to explore the world by their activity, interest, or type of content. Other features include the latest social experiences such as, Hot Takes, which will allow users to find the person that is perfect for them, and the addition of video within Tinder profiles.
CEO of Tinder, Jim Lanzone stated that:
"Tinder is overwhelmingly the most popular way to make meaningful new connections around the world. Meanwhile, a new generation of daters is asking for more from us in the post-Covid world: more ways to show off their authentic selves, more ways to have fun and interact with others virtually, and more control over who they meet on Tinder and how they communicate. They also want to date in a less linear fashion, at their own pace, and with the hope that sparks might fly with someone unexpected. Today’s launch lays down the building blocks for all of this and more - a deeper, multi-dimensional experience that expands the possibilities of Tinder as a platform."
Tinder users will be able to connect with the other users through videos in their profiles. Moreover, Hot Takes will allow members to chat with potential matches before they actually match in a timed session during which they will be able to either let the timer expire so that they can connect with another person or decide if they want to pair off as a match. The new Explore section will also make it possible for the members to discover their perfect match. Members will also be able to explore Chef Mode or Festival Mode on Tinder.
Hot Takes and other features will be available for members in the Explore section when it launches in the summer.
