We"ve all been in a situation that required us to charge up a depleted or depleting device while on the go. It looks like renowned clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger is bringing charging tech to his clothing collection for the holidays. Hilfiger has released a limited edition solar panel charging jacket for men and women.
In order to create this unique offering, Tommy Hilfiger has partnered with Pvilion. Pvilion developed the solar panels that are made from a water resistant, lightweight, and flexible amorphous silicon technology. The jacket"s solar panels collect power and store it in a 6000mAh battery located in the front pocket. The battery pack has two usb ports that make charging for multiple devices possible. If you would like to charge the battery before heading out, you can also do so via a standard electric jack. If you aren"t partial to the solar panel look, they are removable.
The jackets are available now in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia, and online via the Tommy.com website. Both jackets retail for $599.99 and should match perfectly with the Microsoft charging trousers released earlier this year.
