Just about a year after it gave away the original Torchlight, Epic Games Store has put on offer Torchlight II to claim and keep for free this week, taking the place of Killing Floor 2, Lifeless Planet, and The Escapists 2.
An action role-playing title, Torchlight II was originally released in 2012 to critical acclaim, selling over a million copies at launch. It features four-player online coop as well as an original soundtrack composed by Matt Uelmen of the Diablo II fame. Here’s how the Epic Games Store describes it:
Torchlight II is filled to the brim with randomized levels, enemies and loot. Capturing all the flavor and excitement of the original, Torchlight II expands the world and adds features players wanted most, including online and LAN multiplayer.
Epic Games Store is offering Torchlight II for Windows and macOS, however, it is also available for Linux via Steam, where it is priced $19.99 at the time of writing. Here are the minimum requirements:
Windows
- OS: Windows XP SP3/Vista/Windows 7

macOS
