TweakVista open beta begins

Popular tweaking site TweakVista.com and Stardock have teamed up to create a new utility for Windows Vista users called TweakVista. TweakVista allows users to change many low level settings in Windows Vista as well as makes many lesser known settings more user-friendly. The utility has settings for security (to manage the UAC), memory optimization, resource control, start-up management, performance assessments, benchmarks, and integration with TweakVista.com. Users can get the beta at Stardock"s website.

Stardock and TweakVista.com are looking for as much feedback as possible from tech-savvy users to create a tool that will help power users manage their machines as well as provide a tool that novice users can use to maintain their own machines more easily.

Unlike other power tools for Windows, TweakVista™ automatically prompts enhancement recommendations, offering easy "one click" updates to otherwise complex configuration changes. TweakVista™ is also safe to use. By utilizing Microsoft"s system-restore technology any changes you make can easily be rolled back. You can freely experiment with different settings without disabling your computer.
