Twitch is offering up to 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online with Twitch Prime

Amazon"s Twitch streaming service is offering up to 12 months of a Nintendo Switch Online subscription for Twitch Prime members, as spotted by Nintendo Everything. Nintendo"s online service costs around $20 a year, significantly undercutting its rivals" offerings, but if you"re looking to save some money, this will likely be welcome, especially since Twitch Prime is free if you already have an Amazon Prime account.

While you can get up to 12 months of the Switch Online service, you can"t actually get it all at once. You can claim the first three months as soon as you subscribe to Twitch Prime, or right away if you"re already subscribed. Then, if you stay a Twitch Prime member for the next 60 days, you can claim the remaining nine months. With the offer, you get all the benefits of the Switch online service, including the expanding library of NES titles and save data cloud backups.

The offer will be available until September 24 of this year, after which point you will no longer be able to claim the first three months. If you claim the first period close to the end date, you can still claim the nine months after 60 days. You have to claim the second offer by January 22, 2020.

The Nintendo Switch, unlike its competitors, doesn"t support live streaming, to Twitch or otherwise, so it"s interesting to see this deal between the two companies. If you"d like to claim your first three months of Nintendo Switch Online or learn more about the offer, you can do so at the Twitch website.
