Twitch introduced the first TwitchCon conference in 2015 to provide an avenue for streamers and fans to discuss matters related to gaming. The Amazon-owned live streaming video service continues that tradition this year with TwitchCon 2018, which will take place in San Jose, California from October 26 to 28.
Before the convention formally starts, the second annual Developer Day will be held on October 25 at San Jose Marriott, where both industry leaders and developers from around the world will convene to share the best practices on how to create interactive gaming experiences on Twitch in real time. The one-day event will center around the development of game integrations, extensions, and APIs, among others.
Like the previous conventions, TwitchCon 2018 is expected to gather streamers from across the globe, help them grow their channel, improve their skills with a workshop, and partner with an artist to bring more attraction to their own channel.
Twitch also announced that tickets for the event are now available for purchase. Twitch offers a three-day pass for $179 and a single-day pass worth $99 for the Friday event and $89 for each of the Saturday and Sunday sessions. The company also said it will start the countdown to TwitchCon 2018 with 15 TwitchCon Ambassadors, the first-ever partners who are supposed to showcase the variety of creators and content on the platform.
