Twitter now allows users to privately bookmark tweets

Twitter has rolled out a new feature that could come in quite handy for mobile users who may want to go back to a tweet, without having to share that update with their followers. The new feature termed "Bookmarks" has been in testing since last November.

Moreover, the company has also made it easy for users to share tweets on the website by adding a "share" icon below every tweet. This enables the users to either bookmark the tweet, share it via Direct Message, or share the tweet off of Twitter.

In order to bookmark a tweet, one simply has to click on the new "share" icon and click “Add Tweet to Bookmarks”. Saved tweets are accessible through the "Bookmarks" page available in the profile icon menu. Previously named Save for Later, the team behind Bookmarks shared the progress and took user feedback for the functionality in the months leading up to its release.

Bookmarks feature is only available to mobile users at the moment. The company is rolling out the update on Twitter for Android, Twitter for iOS, Twitter Lite, as well as mobile.twitter.com.
