Twitter officially rolls out new Night Mode on its website

Although Night Mode has been available on Twitter"s iOS, Android, and Windows phone apps for some time now, the company revealed the new setting for its desktop site as well - after testing it earlier this month as reported - giving those who use the website late at night an experience that is easier on the eyes, sparing them an unfortunate "Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark face melting" moment.

The new feature was announced through the company"s Support channel:

You can now enable night mode on https://t.co/fuPJa3nVky! ? Also available on Twitter for iOS and Android. https://t.co/9AjOwcv3Zn

The new feature replaces the "bright" white background with a sort-of navy blue color. To enable this new mode, users of the service need to select their avatar at the top right-hand corner and choose "Night Mode" - which is accompanied by a moon icon - from the drop down box.

By the way, Neowin also has a dark theme, called "Darkside", which is available to all registered members. If you"re not yet a member, it"s free, quick and easy to sign up.
