Last month, Neowin reported that Twitter had begun to roll out a redesign. The redesign was to be rolled out over a period of a few weeks. Four weeks later, Twitter announced on their blog that all of its 160 million users now had the new design and that it was only a matter of time until the old design would completely disappear.
“New Twitter” as they called it received great feedback from users according to the blog post and Twitter now supports six languages to choose from. In the announcement the social network giant said “You can now dive deeper into a Tweet and see more details, like recent replies, the bios of other accounts mentioned in it, and photos and videos from media partners like Flickr, YouTube, USTREAM and yfrog.”
BusinessWeek reported on Tuesday that Twitter’s co-founder Evan Williams, who recently stepped down as CEO had been quoted saying “Twitter will get to a billion members.” Last month Twitter reportedly said that they will open themselves to more advertisers after successful trials with Starbucks, ESPN and Coca-Cola. Advertisers are increasingly becoming more aware that social networks are the place to be to get their brand out there.
With new changes comes a little confusion for users. To help us with that confusion, Twitter decided to give us a tour of New Twitter to help us get the most out of it.
