Twitter ups the ante with introduction of '#Stickers'

Twitter has over 300 million active users, but the company has struggled to generate profits since its public debut nearly six years ago. In order to combat this, Twitter has made numerous changes over the course of the year to try and attract new users, and also increase engagement amongst current users. The company has now announced a new upcoming feature that will allow users to add fun customizations to their photos.

"#Stickers" will allow users to add some flair by choosing from hundreds of stickers and emojis and applying it to their images. The update will become available for the Android and iOS apps in the coming weeks. Per usual, there was no mention of when this feature would be arriving for Windows 10 devices. Those using the Twitter.com will be able to interact with the #Stickers, as they will become like visual hashtags, that can be searched.
