Twitter's Progressive Web App now allows you to remove followers on the platform

Twitter"s Progressive Web App (PWA) is getting some new features that are part of its monthly update. The latest update brings the ability to remove accounts that you do not want following you. It is available on all platforms, including Windows, Twitter for KaiOS, and Twitter Lite on Android.

Here"s the changelog for new features:

  • Followers Management: The ability to remove followers is now available for all.
  • Spaces: There is now a section in Privacy & Safety settings where you can control your preferences for Twitter Spaces. You can tweak whether your followers can see the Spaces you are passively listening to.
  • Spaces: Listening to Spaces on Twitter.com is now available for all logged out users.
  • Topics: We"ve added additional controls to Topic landing pages to give you the ability to follow or let us know if you"re not interested.
  • Video: We"re experimenting with providing controls for adjusting playback speed of videos.

The new features that are added in the latest update focus on privacy improvement for users. The ability to remove followers was first added to the platform last month. The person you remove as a follower will still be able to see your tweets or send you a direct message, but they won"t be seeing your tweets on their feed.

This helps alleviate privacy and abuse-related concerns of users on the platform, which was previously only possible by blocking the user. Twitter also recently added a new feature that gives users a "heads up" before entering intense conversations.
