Two new phones to join Motorola lineup, the One and One Power running Android 8.1

Today, Motorola added a couple of new handsets to its range, in the form of the Motorola One and One Power. Both phones will be part of the Android One program, and will be made available for sale in the coming months.

As you can see from the image at the top of the article, both phones look quite similar when it comes to design, but that"s where the similarities end. The Motorola One will feature a 5.9-inch 1080p 19:9 Max Vision display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, and 4GB RAM. The phone will come with dual cameras on the rear, taking advantage of 13MP and 2MP sensors, while the front-facing camera will utilize an 8MP sensor. The Motorola One will be made available in the coming months in Europe, Latin America, and Asia and will be priced at €299 or around $349 USD.

The details for the Motorola One Power are less thorough, as Motorola has omitted some of the specifications from its press release. The device as of this time is also not on its own website. Some of the missing pieces of information were dug up by XDA Developers via TENAA. With that said, the One Power will have a larger 6.2-inch 1080p 19:9 Max Vision display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. The smartphone will arrive with either 3GB or 4GB RAM, and will include 64GB of internal storage with expansion via a microSD slot. As far as the camera is concerned, it will have a dual camera setup, making use of 16MP and 5MP sensors. Pricing for the One Power was not released but will be made available in India starting in October.

Both phones will charge via a USB Type-C port and will be running Android 8.1 Oreo. Despite it coming out of the box with Oreo, Motorola has promised that it will deliver updates to Android 9.0 Pie. At the present time, this isn"t such a big deal, as both phones are set to arrive in the coming months. So maybe by then, Motorola will have released an update.
