Typewise's honeycomb AI keyboard app secures CES Innovation Award once again

Typewise has announced that its smartphone honeycomb AI keyboard app has secured the CES Innovation Award for the second year in a row. The Swiss deep tech company, that develops advanced AI text-prediction technology allowing users to "write and reply faster", merged the smartphone-optimized honeycomb key layout with its advanced AI text-prediction engine to offer a keyboard app that safeguards the privacy of its users allowing no typing data to be transmitted over the internet, mitigates "typos by 4X", and enhances typing speed.

Typewise CEO and Co-founder, David Eberle told Neowin:

The CES Innovation Awards are a highly respected mark of technological prowess, so we’re delighted that the latest version of our keyboard app has been chosen for the second year running by the CES Innovation Awards judges. Since the last award, we’ve grown rapidly to over 1.6 million downloads following continuous improvements and recognition from the world’s tech media. Building on the success of the keyboard, we have exciting new developments which include the launch of a brand-new product – Typewise Desktop – powered by the same core text-prediction engine which will enable enterprise and individuals to ‘fast-forward" their writing and compose higher quality emails, messages, and documents. We also will be launching v4.0 of our keyboard which will feature further significant enhancements.

The press release also mentions that in the Software & Mobile Apps product category, after bringing an update to the keyboard"s capabilities introduced as v3.0 halfway through 2021, the honeycomb keyboard app "has yet again impressed the judges of the CES Innovation Awards programme."

It also stated that a committee of industry expert judges, along with engineers, designers, and members of the media assessed submissions based on aesthetics, engineering and functionality, innovation, etc.

Typewise"s keyboard app has been downloaded over "1.6 million times", and if you want to give it a try yourself, it"s available on both, iOS and Android.
