Ubisoft announces Assassin's Creed Valhalla, full reveal tomorrow, April 30

The next entry in the long-running Assassin"s Creed franchise was announced to be Assassin"s Creed Valhalla today following the eight-hour-long livestream that had popular digital artist Kode Abdo "BossLogic" creating the key art for the game. A timelapse of the complete livestream can be caught below for anyone interested in witnessing the intricate process, while the finished product is above.

The cinematic trailer drop many were hoping for sadly didn"t come at the end of the stream, but Ubisoft did give a new time to expect it. The World Premiere Trailer for Assassin"s Creed Valhalla will be released tomorrow, April 30, at 8AM PDT/ 5PM CEST.

As can be gleaned from the artwork and name, and confirming many rumors, the game will be Viking-themed, and our protagonist seems to be an axe and bow-wielding hero. Instead of the staple eagle, he seems to have a raven as his companion, and judging by the artwork, ship gameplay should be returning in some form.

There is the possibility of Assassin"s Creed Valhalla returning to the action-adventure roots of the series for a change, following the RPG ventures of Origins and Odyssey. We will have to wait and see tomorrow what route has Ubisoft chosen to go for this title.
