Gamesindustry.biz is also reporting some new news on the Playstation 3 controller. Apparently, Yves Guillemot the President of Ubisoft, is quite excited about the new controller and the possibilities it offers down the road.
Speaking to Eurogamer TV, Guillemont stated: "We were so happy to see that Sony was taking that direction - we think it will help to have a better experience so we are going to use that a lot."
Now, the interview did not state any specific projects that would use the new PS3 controller and its new motion sensing technology, but one has to assume that any project is way down the road. The announcement at E3 caught alot of Sony developers off guard, including Ubisoft. However, you should note that Ubisoft is indeed one of the main third party developers for the Nintendo Wii and of course, the Wii uses motion sensing technology to an even bigger extent. Ubisoft is currently working on Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids for example. Red Steel was one of the more impressive tech demonstrations of the Wii controller in action at E3.
