Ubisoft to support For Honor with another year of content for 2019

The medieval fighting game For Honor is charging into its third year of support, as Ubisoft has announced a new round of content heading for the title throughout 2019. The multiplayer title is slated to receive new heroes, maps, and more during this new Year of the Harbinger period.

While the studio didn"t go into much detail on what the year will bring, it did reveal that the four upcoming seasons (major content updates) will bring one new fighter each.

The first season, Vortiger, will kick off on January 31 and will bring along a new Knight among other additions. Meanwhile, Samurai, Viking, and another Wu Lin hero will be arriving with future seasons. The image below should give some hints as to what weapons these new fighters will wield.

The usual unlocking rules will apply to these upcoming heroes as well, where players can redeem 15000 Steel they earn in-game for each fighter. Those who purchase the new $29.99 Year 3 Pass, on the other hand, will get to start playing as the new heroes seven days earlier than others. The season pass also carries other benefits such as a 30-day champion status for boosted experience gain, elite outfits, and five Scavenger crates.

Rest of the content, such as maps, gameplay changes, and any new game modes, that arrive during the Year of the Harbinger will be available to all players free of charge, even to those who managed to grab the For Honor Starter Edition while it was free.
