Ubisoft's Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine get hit with delays

Ubisoft is pushing back the release dates of two of its upcoming games, with the impacted games being Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine. The delays are attributed to development issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, sliding the two games into Ubisoft’s next fiscal year.

Prior to the delay, Far Cry 6 was incoming on February 18 for current and next-gen platforms. The game features Giancarlo Esposito, who will be taking the role of the main antagonist. Rainbow Six Quarantine didn"t have a specific launch date attached to it following its previous delay, and details are scarce about this entry, but the cooperative FPS was set for a launch this fiscal year.

Although no new release dates are set, the delay pushes both games into releasing sometime between April 2021 and March 2022.

According to the company"s latest earnings report, the rest of Ubisoft"s upcoming games lineup seems to be unaffected. Watch Dogs Legion, Assassin"s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Just Dance 2021 are on track to launch before 2021. The recently announced extreme sports title Riders Republic and the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is still slated to land in early next year.
