When Microsoft announced the new Surface Pro at an event in Shanghai in May, it promised that for the first time, there would be a cellular variant, coming this fall. Since then, there haven"t been any details of the LTE-enabled Surface Pro, although the firm is rumored to be announcing it in London next month.
But ahead of the announcement, one UK retailer has published listings for the device, and you can pre-order one with it shipping in December. Spotted by Reve on Twitter, there are two listings, both of which includes a Core i5 processor, ending any speculation that the LTE variant of the tablet will be ARM-based. It"s still unknown whether there will be a Core i7 model, or if that may launch later on.
The lower end model costs £944.00 or £1,132.80, without or with VAT included, respectively. With that, you"ll get 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD. You can check the one out here. The other one is probably the one you"d actually want, coming with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD for £1,169.00 or £1,402.80. You can pre-order that one here.
Again, we"re expecting an official announcement for these devices at Future Decoded next month, and we"ll have more information then, which will include pre-orders from other retailers, so there"s no rush to jump in right now.
