UK: Samsung Galaxy S10 5G now available on O2

O2 has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is now available on its network in anticipation for its 5G switch-on scheduled to take place in October. O2 has several plans available with costs ranging from £51.64 to £61.64 per month over 36 months. You can shorten these contracts down to just three months but this raises costs to £364.67 per month on the 100GB data option.

Describing the specs, of the device, O2 said:

“The Galaxy S10 5G features the largest-ever display on a Galaxy S series device, a 6.7-inch Infinity-O Display; 6 cameras with incredible low-light capability, 3D Depth Cameras on both sides and an Ultra-wide lens for capturing professional-looking shots; and an impressive 4,500mAh (typical) battery with Super-Fast Charging.”

Those eager to begin using 5G ought to take a careful approach before choosing this device. Aside from the fact that O2 doesn’t launch 5G until October, it’s rollout will be extremely limited. In October, 5G will only be available in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, Slough, and Leeds. It will expand to 20 locations by the year’s end, and then boast 50 locations by next summer, by which time newer phones will be out.

If you’re not dissuaded by the limited rollout, O2 is offering to take old devices through O2 Recycle for a cash payment that can be used toward the upgrade. You can find out more about the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G on O2’s website.
