Channel 4"s once subscriber-only film channel FilmFour is becoming Freeview"s first truly free movies channel as it launches tonight (Sunday) at 9pm with the film Lost in Translation.
As reported in February the move is set to go ahead, delivering a multitude of FilmFour"s own films free of charge as well as some box office hits too. FilmFour has been heavily praised in the past for its own productions including Dogma and East is East.
The service will launch at 9pm tonight but from Monday 24th July will run 3pm-3am every day. The service will be available to all digital TV services including Freeview, cable and satellite.
