Most recently, Crash Bandicoot was released on PlayStation 4 after having received the remastered treatment with fans excited to return to that universe. However, the likelihood that the game might show up on Xbox One has left some fans frustrated that their favourite PlayStation game would no longer be exclusive to that platform. Several online stores have listed the title for Xbox, however, this should also be taken with a grain of salt, since Sunset Overdrive was listed for PlayStation 4 when that released, however, it never came to fruition.
Jak and Daxter launched on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 and has seen reasonable success, selling over 15 million units across the franchise. It holds the Guinness World Record for being the first game with a seamless 3D world on a console.
So the hawk eyes over at Reddit spotted that an unannounced Jak and Daxter game could be making its way to PlayStation 4. Even though details are scarce, it is assumed that it will be a remastered version of the original four games, namely; Jak and Daxter, Jak II, Jak III, and Jak X: Combat Racing.
Sony confirmed that it will be at Gamescom this year, with games like Shenmue 3 showing up amongst others, and we might see this remastered game pop up on screen as fan service. Jak and Daxter is owned by Sony so the likelihood of it going to other platforms is completely out of the question, so fans can rest assured that this little gem will remain platform exclusive.
