Unboxing the Oukitel U18, a $179.99 iPhone X clone that runs Android

Oukitel has been producing handsets for quite some time but was better known for its smartphones with large batteries and rugged exteriors. That all changed last month when it announced something more elegant, the U18. The U18 offers a design that mimics Apple"s iPhone X and comes priced under $200.

As far as looks go, there is no doubt about it, the front display measuring in at 5.85 inches with its proud notch is the highlight. As far as the rest of it, its heavy and also quite thick. When it comes to specifications, the smartphone utilizes a MediaTek MTK6750T processor, 4GB RAM, and also features 64GB of internal storage. The rear has a dual camera setup with 13MP and 5MP sensors, with the front camera leveraging an 8MP sensor.

What is probably most impressive about this phone is its price. The device retails for $179.99 and just last month was discounted to $159.99 for a limited time. Naturally, we will have to put the unit through its paces but it will be interesting to see just how much bang for buck this smartphone offers.
