During the tail end of the PlayStation Showcase today, Sony pulled out an announcement that, surprisingly, involved both the PlayStation 5 and PC: The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. This is a bundle containing Naughty Dog"s massively popular titles Uncharted 4: A Thief"s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Both are getting the remaster treatment here.
No information was shared regarding what sort of upgrades can players expect in these remasters as the titles jump over to more powerful platforms. As seen on the trailer though, as expected, there is a jump in graphics here. Technologies like ray tracing may also be implemented on the duo.
For those unfamiliar with the games, especially PC players who"ll be jumping in for the first time, here"s a quick rundown: Uncharted 4 features Nathan Drake for another high-octane experience as he hunts for Captain Avery’s long-lost treasure in this final adventure. Meanwhile, The Lost Legacy is a standalone expansion to the aforementioned title. Here, players take the role of Chloe Frazer as she hunts for the Tusk of Ganesh in the mountain ranges of India with Nadine Ross.
Iron Galaxy is developing the PC port of this collection. This count as the third PlayStation exclusive to hit PC following Horizon: Zero Dawn and Days Gone. Unfortunately, the original Uncharted games are still missing on the PC side, at least for now.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC in early 2022, with the former platform getting the bundle a little sooner than the latter one. More details on the remasters and exact launch dates will be revealed later.
