UniGetUI is an application whose main goal is to create an intuitive GUI for the most common CLI package managers for Windows 10 and Windows 11, such as Winget, Scoop and Chocolatey. With UniGetUI, you"ll be able to download, install, update and uninstall any software that"s published on the supported package managers — and so much more.
WingetUI features
- UniGetUI has the ability to install, update and uninstall packages from Winget, Scoop and ChnageChocolatey. UniGetUI will also detect if your manually-installed apps can be updated!
- It can also upgrade and uninstall previously installed packages — as well as uninstall built-in Windows apps!
- UniGetUI has the ability to both import and export the packages of your choice, so that you can easily install them in the future.
- UniGetUI supports managing Scoop buckets with an interface.
- Install an older version of an app.
- UniGetUI shows a notification when there are available updates
- Manage your updates and installed packages from its context menu
- The user will be notified whether the installation/update/uninstallation of an app was completed successfully or not.
- The ability to queue installations in order to prevent conflicts.
- A dark theme is available to prevent you from burning your eyes.
- UniGetUI has the ability to show package-related information (like its license, SHA256 hash, homepage, etc.) before installation.
- There are more than 14000 packages available (if winget, scoop and chocolatey are enabled)!
UniGetUI 3.1.0 Beta release notes:
This is the first beta release to implement the UniGetUI rebranding. Instaling this release will automatically migrate settings and other data to new folders (WingetUI -> UniGetUI), so rolling back to older versions of WingetUI may cause settings to be reset.
Note: When it comes to features, this release should be quite similar to the stable 3.1.0 release
Changes
- Packages will be loaded and stored by a Package Loader, instead of being loaded by the interface.
- Package lists have been rebuilt to use ItemsView, causing UniGetUI to use less ram (~290mb max -> ~210mb max)
- The Widgets API has been optimized. Packages load up to way faster on the widgets.
- The Package Manager logs have been rebuilt from the grounds up.
- Package Manager logs for each manager can be isolated
- Normal and Verbose views available
- Improvements to keyboard navigation
- Chocolatey can be set to not be installed by the UniGetUI Installer
- Lots of internal code changes and optimizations.
- Other bugfixes
