University Diploma Spammers Busted?

We have just received an interesting tale from one Phillip Skeen.

Are you tired of receiving those "University Diploma" emails in your inbox? Of course you are! Phillip has been doing a spot of detective work and the super slueth has managed to come up with some rather juicy details concerning our favorite spammers.

Like most of you, I get spam. Tons of it. Daily my inbox is flooded with adverts ranging from penis enlargements, to viagra, to herbal medicines that supposedly aid fitness and good health. To make matters worse, there really is no real, fool proof way of stopping this daily deluge of junk mail from reaching your inbox. We at neowin have often pondered this dilemma and in our darkest days we would wonder, what can we do?

Phillip Skeen has the answer. He says all you need to do is send the emails right back where they came from! That"s right folks! It is our hope that the spammers don"t like their offerings either!

Phillip, the smart cookie that he is actually called the number they leave at the bottom of their emails and indicated he was interested. Alas however it was nothing but a recording but his patience was rewarded when they called him back about a week later. The wheels of justice were in motion!

It turns out the outfit is part of The International Council of Distance Learning Universities (ICDLU)WWW.icdlu.org. The actual outfit is Landford University at www.landforduniversity.org and their email is gradservices@landforduniversity.org. Phillip says he tricked the lady into giving him this information for which he was then abused for. It would seem spammers don"t like their addresses being given out. ;)

To all spammers out there in the big wide net world know this. Watch out because Phillip Skeen is on your trail.
