Atari and Epic Games have started shipping both standard and special edition versions of Unreal Tournament 2004 to stores worldwide.
Atari and Epic Games today announced that they"ve started shipping Unreal Tournament 2004 to stores all over the world. Both standard and special edition versions of the game are available, the latter comprising a limited edition metal box, a Logitech Internet Chat Headset, and a bonus DVD of training modules for the Unreal Editor in addition to a copy of the game.
Developed by Epic Games in conjunction with Digital Extremes, Unreal Tournament 2004 boasts a number of improvements over its predecessors, including voice technology, new and revised weapons, vehicles, new gameplay modes, and over 100 maps. The playable demo of the game that was released last month has become one of the most popular demo downloads of all time, notching up over 1.5 million downloads in its first week.
