Amazon has announced that Prime members will be able to see the new DC movie, Aquaman, a week early. The advanced showing will take place on December 15 at 7 PM (local time) at more than 1,000 cinemas in the U.S. operated by AMC, Regal, National Amusement Theaters, and ArcLight Cinemas. Customers will be able to purchase up to 10 tickets via Atom Tickets.
Cem Sibay, Vice President of Amazon Prime, discussing the offer, said:
“Prime offers the best of shopping and entertainment and these early showings of Aquaman are yet another pleasant surprise for members, and one that I’m personally also looking forward to. We love delivering smiles whether it’s through an incredible deal during the holidays or inviting members on a journey to Atlantis with us in this action-packed adventure before anyone else.”
Meanwhile, Blair Rich, President, Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Pictures Group and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, said:
“James Wan has created an epic adventure for the big screen. Coming together with Amazon to reach their footprint of Prime members in the U.S. is the ideal way for us to bring Aquaman to moviegoers and their families as they kick off their holidays.”
If you’re not a Prime customer and don’t even want to maintain a subscription to the service, it is possible to take out a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime in order to take advantage of the deal. Using the free trial in this way won’t get you into trouble with Amazon, in fact, the firm encouraged it; it’ll no doubt be hoping that people sign up to the service and keep on paying for it in future.
For everyone else in the U.S., DC’s Aquaman, which stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman, will begin its rounds in cinemas on December 21.
