In June, Verizon Wireless announced its shared data plans for its smartphone customers, called Share Everything. At the time, the plans offered by Verizon had an upper limit of 10 GB a month for $100. Later, AT&T announced their own shared data plans, called Mobile Share. Scheudled to launch later in August, AT&T"s upper limit offered users a chance to share 20 GB of data a month for $200.
Now it looks like the spirit of competition has hit over at Verizon as it has confirmed that it will be adding new options for its Share Anything Plan. While the new options are not yet available on the company"s website, Computerworld.com reports that, according to a Verizon spokesperson, the new Share Everything plans will include a new upper data limit of 20 GB a month for the price of $150, $50 cheaper than the identical AT&T Mobile Share plan
Verizon is also offering customers options for 12 GB for $110 a month, 14 GB for $120 a month, 16 GB for $130 a month, 18 GB for $140 a month and 20 GB for $150 a month.
Verizon"s spokesperson also claims these new higher data plans have been available since Share Everything was launched in June but were previously offered by the company over the phone or at Verizon"s retail stores. There"s no word if these new options will be added to Verizon"s website.
