Virgin Media to start offering iPhone 5s and 5c on contract from Friday

While it"s not uncommon to be able to pick up the latest iPhone on many of the major carriers in the U.K., the same can"t be said for Virgin Media, which until now has required that its customers go find an iPhone elsewhere "off contract" along with the hefty purchase price.

Starting from this Friday though, Virgin Media customers will be able to pick up either the 5s or 5c on a two-year contract at a starting price of £69 for all three storage options on the handset. The 5c will set you back £29 for the 16GB model, rising to £69 for the 32GB option, providing of course you"re cool with the 24-month commitment.

The monthly contract for the iPhone 5S starts at a lofty £41 per month, but that gets you 1,200 minutes of talk time, unlimited text messages, and 1GB of data. The carrier is also offering the iPhone 4S for the first time as a more budget-friendly offering for Apple fans, with no upfront cost on a two-year contract costing £23 a month for 100 minutes of talk time, 250 SMS messages and 250MB of data.
