Vivaldi announced version 2.5 of its web browser today, and a key new feature is that it supports Razer"s Chroma RGB lighting. With this integration, Vivaldi is promising a more immersive experience.
“This unique integration with Razer Chroma adds another dimension to browsing altogether”, says Vivaldi CEO Jon von Tetzchner. “Razer Chroma respects a user’s play style and unique expression of individuality and that’s a natural fit for Vivaldi.”
It works by actually syncing the colors from the website that you"re visiting. Presumably, this would be any of various accent colors from the site. To turn on the feature, you"ll need to head over to Settings -> Themes -> Enable Chroma.
Also new in version 2.5 is the ability to adjust the size of your Speed Dials on the start page. There are also new tab selection options, and users have more control over them. You can configure Quick Commands, Keyboard Shortcuts, Mouse Gestures, and more in Settings.
Razer Chroma is a proprietary RGB lighting system; however, it"s open to all third-party apps, services, and hardware. Vivaldi, however, is the first to think to use it with a web browser.
