Wacom has revealed that it"s working on two new additions to its range of Cintiq Pro "pen displays". The company currently offers two Cintiq Pro displays - a 13-inch Full HD version, and a 15.6-inch model with up to Ultra HD resolution - each of which supports its latest Pro Pen 2, allowing artists and creative professionals to draw directly onto the screen, rather than using a separate graphics tablet.
Wacom is supersizing its Cintiq Pro line-up, with the upcoming launch of its new 24- and 32-inch models, both of which will feature 4K (3840x2160px) resolution, and Pro Pen 2 support.
Unfortunately, Wacom hasn"t fully revealed its new displays, offering only a few teaser images, which you can view in the gallery below. Both models will feature edge-to-edge glass, and are due to launch in January, with the 24-inch model priced at $1,999; and the 32-inch version set to cost $3,299.
The new Cintiq Pro models invite obvious comparisons with Microsoft"s Surface Studio, which it launched last year, priced from $2,999. But unlike the Microsoft machine - which is a standalone Windows 10 all-in-one PC, with a 28-inch touchscreen that supports its Surface Pen - the Cintiq Pros are displays only. Like the existing versions, the new Wacom displays will be compatible with both Mac and Windows PCs.
