Wall Street Journal Live app released for Windows Phone

If you fancy a bit of business news inside of your Windows Phone, there"s a new app that you may want to check out. The Windows Phone Marketplace now has the official Wall Street Journal Live Windows Phone app available to download for free.

Interestingly, the app doesn"t feature the actual articles that you might read in the newspaper or on the Wall Street Journal website. Instead, the Windows Phone app concentrates on news video to present its content. The app description said:

WSJ Live brings you live news and on-demand video directly from 2,000 reporters across the globe. With over 4.5 hours of live programming a day, you can stay on top of the latest in news, elections, markets, tech, opinion, lifestyle. You can also access the entire video archive of The Wall Street Journal.

The Wall Street Journal Live app joins a number of other high profile Windows phone apps that have been launched in the past few weeks. That includes new apps from Time magazine, the Daily Beast and Linkedin. It was recently revealed that the Windows Phone Marketplace has now released over 90,000 apps for Windows phone devices, and that number should reach the 100,000 mark by sometime in June.
