Weekend downloadable PC game sales: August 10-12

The weekend has arrived. Hooray! We hope all of you reading this are enjoying it already; after all, we are entering the last days of summer and for some of you that means there will soon be less time to play games. Thankfully, you can save up on some PC game releases for the next few days.

Steam has a big sale of games from Kalypso Media, where you can save between 50 to 80 percent off the publisher"s titles. You can also play the full version of the multiplayer shooter Nexuiz for free until Sunday at 4 pm Eastern time on Steam. The game is just $2.50 to purchase for this weekend only.

GameStop has a number of games on sale this weekend. That includes price cuts of all of the previously released Assassin"s Creed games from Ubisoft. There"s also a bundle containing all of the games together that"s priced at just $37.38.

GoG.com has a mix of seven classic PC game titles, including the oddly named Superfrog, on sale this weekend for 50 percent off. Finally, Gamergate has a boatload of games with big price cuts available, including Just Cause 2 for $3.74 and Duke Nukem Forever for a mere $4.99.
