Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.
It is giveaway time as usual on the Epic Games Store, and it"s another week where Epic attached a hidden game to the promotion at the last second. In addition to the Sherlock Holmes game as announced last week, you can now also grab a copy of Close to the Sun.
Developed by Frogwares, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments brings you six separate cases to solve as the popular detective and his friend Dr. Watson. This is the most well-received title in the series. Meanwhile, Close to the Sun is a horror adventure that takes place in a passenger ship named Helios in an alternate 1897 where Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison are in a technological war.
The double giveaway is slated to end on April 16, which is when Just Cause 4 and Wheels of Aurelia will take their place as the newest freebies. That is unless the store makes more surprise additions.
Putting up another gaming bundle this week is Humble, this time bringing out a collection of strategy games from Stardock to fill up your Steam library with.
The bundle"s first tier, costing $1, comes in heralding two games, Dead Man"s Draw and Sorcerer King: Rivals. Meanwhile, the second tier - currently at around $10 - adds only a single game, Galactic Civilizations III, but arrives with three expansions for the turn-based strategy game, Crusade, Retribution, and Mega Events.
The third and final tier brings in Star Control I and II, Star Control III, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation, and Star Control: Origins. On the DLC side, it also has Star Control Origins OST and Earth Rising expansion, plus Galactic Civilization III"s Intrigue expansion. This will run you $13 to unlock.
