Weekend PC Game Deals: New choices to make and bridges to build

Starting our weekend feature off is Humble"s new Choice selection, which has gone through another refresh as part of its July offering. There is a brand-new set of games to pick from if you opt for the subscription, and it touts heavy hitters like Yakuza 3 and Surge 2.

Find the 12 new games of Choice and links to their Steam store pages below:

Yakuza 3 Remastered
The Surge 2
Dirt 5
Hammerting
Nimbatus Space Drone Constructor
Paradise Killer
Kill It With Fire
Bee Simulator
Elderborn
S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster
Deadly Days
ADOM

Opting to pick up three of the above titles will set you back $14.99 as part of the Basic tier, while nine games will cost $19.99. However, those still with active Humble Monthly subscriptions can grab 10 games for $12.99 instead. This selection of games will be available on Humble Choice until August 3.

Elsewhere on the store, it also kicked off a gaming bundle filled with Slitherine-published titles. The first tier grants you Master of Magic Classic for $1, while the average price tier drops in Battlestar Galactica Deadlock and Distant Worlds: Universe. The third and final tier has all the previous items and adds on Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War, its Fortification and Tyranids DLC, along with Field of Glory II and Strategic Command WWII: World at War.

Just as scheduled, Epic brought in two more games for everyone to claim this week. Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead and Ironcast are the latest titles to be made available as freebies, and they land as replacements to last week"s The Spectrum Retreat.

Coming in as the latest entry in the lengthy line of themed Bridge Constructor games, this The Walking Dead-styled experience throws in a storyline featuring characters from the AMC series, the expected zombie hordes, as well as traps to neutralize said brain eaters in addition to the usual physics puzzles. Meanwhile, Ironcast is a turn-based roguelite with Match 3 puzzle elements. The title is set in an alternate 1880 Victorian England involving a war that has you making use of walking war machines.

The double giveaway is yours to claim until July 15, and coming in as the replacement freebies on that date are Obduction and Offworld Trading Company.

Free Events

As summer sales slowly go back into their expected slumber, free events have already begun to peek out. This weekend you have two games to try out for free on Steam.

First up is Ubisoft"s open world racer The Crew 2, letting you speed across the entirety of the USA using cars, planes, and boats. If racing isn"t your style, then you can try out Dead by Daylight. It is a four versus one horror title that has you escaping from a lone killer or taking the role of one to hunt down four survivors.

Big Deals

The Steam Summer sale has gone back into hibernation, and it will be another six months until the store"s next gigantic promotion. Still, the usual sales don"t stop popping up even though you can expect some slowdowns in the coming weeks. If you still have an appetite for deals after the last couple of weeks, find our latest handpicked highlights list for this weekend below:

DRM-free Goodness

To finish this weekend"s deals, we have another list of DRM-free game discounts that are happening right now, and it includes the entirety of CD Projekt"s game selection thanks to the WitcherCon celebrations. There is also a Witcher goodie bag being given away on GOG as well.

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals could vary depending on the region.

That"s it for our pick of this weekend"s PC game deals, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint not to keep adding to your ever-growing backlogs. As always, there"s an enormous number of other deals ready and waiting all over the interwebs as well as in services you may already subscribe to if you comb through them, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a great weekend.
