Weekend PC Game Deals: Overhauled choices, a mass of bundles, and more

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

The appropriately named FXCK Cancer Bundle from Humble is the first special under the spotlight this weekend. The collection comes touting 13 games and no tiers.

By paying $10 for this charity bundle, you get copies of World War Z: Aftermath, Dead by Daylight, Payday 2, Magicka, theHunter: Call of the Wild, Dungeon of the Endless, Homeworld Remastered Collection, Homeworld Deserts of Kharak, Little Nightmares, Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons, Red Faction: Armageddon, Peppy"s Adventure, and Hamilton"s Great Adventure.

The bundle has a two-week timer before it closes its doors, and 100% of its proceeds are being donated to cancer research and education.

Meanwhile, Humble"s monthly Choice Bundle has gone through an overhaul, dropping the choosing element altogether. Instead of multiple tiers and having to pick from a pile of games, now you get the whole bunch for one price like in the old Humble Monthly days.

The bundle presents Borderlands 3 as the headliner, which is joined by its Director’s Cut DLC, Black Book, Per Aspera, Just Die Already, Before We Leave, Paradise Lost, Everhood, and Calico as its February offerings.

Since it"s only one tier, the price comes in at $11.99 for all nine items. Being subscribed is now a requirement for slowly building up the Humble Store discount unlike before. It also has a DRM-free games collection as a benefit. However, you need a separate app to download the games.

Fanatical"s bundle space received updates this week as well, making time for another Platinum Collection for you to customize as well as a charity bundle.

The build-your-own-bundle has 16 choices, with highlights being Supraland, Barotrauma, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, Neighbours back From Hell, and Killer Is Dead. It offers three games for $9.99, five games for $14.99, or seven for $19.99.

Moving on to the Safe in Our World Charity Bundle, it carries 13 games and two DLC packs, all for $8.99 or whatever you decide to give. This carries Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered, Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, GRIP: Combat Racing, Payday 2, and more games.

Epic Games did not miss a beat this week with its freebie either, replacing Daemon X Machina with a copy of Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. Keep in mind you may already have a copy of this in your library if you"ve been grabbing free games diligently for a couple of years now.

This is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer made by Playtonic Games, and some creative talent from the classic Donkey Kong Country are involved here too. The title has you playing as Yooka the chameleon and his bat buddy Laylee to free Beetalion members and ultimately survive a run through the Impossible Lair.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will remain free to claim until Thursday, February 10, and next up on the freebie schedule is a copy of the survival RPG Windbound.

Free Events

With Lunar New Year sales winding down, free events are back on the menu. First up is the free weekend from EA"s coffers for The Sims 4, letting you try out the most recent entry in the life sim franchise from Maxis as the studio celebrates The Sims" 22nd anniversary.

On the other end, if first-person shooters are more your type, World War 3 is currently running a public stress test. This is to prepare for the upcoming free-to-play beta release in March. Head to the Steam store page here and click the Request Access button to jump in.

Big Deals

You"ll find our big deals list of highlights below, which is populated by plenty of weekend specials happening right now, including games made in Quebec, from EA, plus some Lunar New Year sale stragglers. Don"t forget about Epic Games" $10 coupon either, which can be used just once this run.

DRM-free Goodness

The DRM-free deals front coming from the GOG store this weekend are primarily strategy games. Here are some highlights:

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals may vary depending on the region you"re in.

And that"s it for our pick of this weekend"s PC game deals everyone, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint not to break the bank adding new games to your ever-growing backlogs. Of course, there are an enormous number of other deals ready and waiting if you comb through the interwebs hard enough, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a great weekend.

Neowin may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases.
