Weekend PC Game Deals: Partying bundles and Origin games to catch

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals are amassed into an easy to follow format, every week, from all over the internet. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

Copious amounts of party games arrive all bundled up in Humble"s latest collection, all from Jackbox Games.

Tier one of this bundle has six You Don"t Know Jack volumes of quizzing games for $1. Hitting the $12 second tier is when you start getting the popular Jackbox Party Packs, which offers up the original and the sequel.

Paying over the average cost, which is also around $12 right now, adds on some more popular party games Drawful 2, Fibbage XL, Quiplash, as well as three more You Don"t Know Jack volumes. Lastly, Jackbox Party Pack 3 and 4 arrive with the final $15 tier, giving you the entire collection with the exception of last year"s Party Pack 5.

If military sims are more of your style, the Bohemia Interactive Bundle from last week is still ongoing, hosting all of the ARMA games and even DayZ. The Humble Monthly Bundle is also an option, carrying Squad and Slay the Spire as early unlocks.

To nobody"s surprise, Epic Games has delivered another free promotion with a double giveaway for this week.

If you"re willing to use the Epic Games Store, you can now claim a free copy of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, the turn-based XCOM-like that will plop you down on a post-apocalyptic world playing as mutated animals. And since this is an M-rated game, Epic has also attached the 2D action RPG Hyper Light Drifter onto the giveaway as a title suitable for more younger audiences.

Both these games will be dropping their free status on August 22, making way for the puzzle game Fez to take their place.

Free Events

Hopping over to the free events, you"ll find there are four games having promotions this weekend. Kicking things off is Galactic Civilizations III, the 4X turn-based strategy title. Joining it is the JRPG Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, which is also free-to-play just for this weekend.

Meanwhile, the virtual reality music title Electronauts is free this weekend for VR headset owners with some rhythm. Lastly, the one versus four survival horror game Soul at Stake - coming all the way from China - is also having a free weekend.

Big Deals

Hope you"re not already tired of summer sales as Fanatical has now brought forth one of its own, and this one lasts for two whole weeks. There is a discount code - FANATICAL10 - that reduces discounted wares by a further 10% as well.

Also, with gamescom being just around the corner, EA has already kicked off a sale celebrating it on Origin. Just remember that many of these titles are also part of the Origin Access subscription.

DRM-free Goodness

Now, with all those DRM-filled games out of the way, let"s have a look at some highlights of DRM-free deals that are on offer from the GOG store this weekend.

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals could vary depending on the region.

And that is it for our pick of this weekend"s PC game deals folks, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint to not add even more games to your growing backlogs. Of course, there is an enormous amount of more deals ready and waiting all over the internet if you comb through it hard enough, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a wonderful weekend.
