Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.
Just because EA retired the On the House program doesn"t mean its giveaways have stopped rolling out. The Premium Passes of Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1 have been made completely free to claim on Origin, with the promotion running until September 18.
Base game owners and Origin Access subscribers should find this promotion especially useful, as this means gaining access to all those premium map-enabled servers as well as over a dozen new maps to play around in for each game.
Moreover, if you don"t already own Battlefield 1, EA currently has its price slashed down to $4.99. Combined with the free Premium Pass, purchasing this essentially gets you the complete edition of the World War 1 shooter.
Free Events
Although it hasn"t kicked off just yet, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout open beta is starting later today for PC players. Running for 48 hours from September 15 10am PT, the beta gives you access to the game"s 80-player battle royale mode, albeit with some bugs. If you"re interested, the beta can be downloaded through Blizzard"s Battle.net client.
The Division just had a free weekend last week, but Ubisoft has decided to bring back the post-apocalyptic festivities for a second week. However, unlike before, this free event is not running on Steam, and can only be played via Ubisoft"s own Uplay client.
Big Deals
With the beginning of the weekend arrives a wide assortment of sales, and below, we have a selection of handpicked games that are near or below their historical discounts.
Also, you should know that the Chrono.gg store is currently hosting a special TotalBiscuit tribute sale where all proceeds will be going to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. The page doesn"t allow linking to the games directly, but there are some great deals for Vermintide 2, XCOM 2, Civilization VI, and more titles that were recommended by the popular games critic.
