Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.
This is where we would typically highlight any new and interesting gaming bundles. But perhaps due to the Humble Store"s ongoing Winter Sale, the store hasn"t put forth any new gaming bundles, and other than a pretty sweet $1 Bridge Constructor Bundle by Fanatical, it has been rather quiet everywhere else as well.
So, let"s have a recap of specials that are still running from previous weeks instead, in case you missed any of them.
Possibly the most enticing bundle to come out in the past few weeks is the January Humble Monthly Bundle, bringing Firaxis Games" Civilization VI as well as a couple of DLC packs as early unlocks. The 12$ subscription cost makes this the cheapest price that the 4X title has been available for, and don"t forget that you will get even more games once the bundle comes to a close on February 2.
Meanwhile, the store"s Hope for Orphans bundle offers nine games that are spread across three tiers. The games include a number of hits from Tripwire Interactive"s catalog, such as Rising Storm, and Killing Floor, along with both of their sequels, and more. If you"re a shooter fan who"s missing these games from your library, this is an excellent opportunity to grab them.
Otherwise, if you"re interested in the store"s aforementioned Winter sale, you can check out highlights from it in the Big Deals section below.
Free Events
After a fairly long break, free weekends have finally returned to Steam, and kicking it off is Crimsonland by the indie studio 10tons. A top-down shooter where you are tasked with mowing down thousands of "aliens, zombies, giant spiders, mutant lizards, and more" with the various weapons and perks you can unlock. The game also supports four-player local co-op.
Meanwhile, Super Dungeon Bros is free to try until January 25. This indie title is described as a "rock themed dungeon brawler," and supports up to four players in co-op, both local and online. The game pits you to raid various dungeons in "Rökheim" to grab loot and fight undead rockstars.
Leaving behind the free weekends, next we have an open beta for the up and coming battle royale game, Darwin Project. Unlike other contenders in the genre, where 100-player rounds are the norm, this game only offers a 10-player experience. However, the developer promises a new take on the formula, adding survival and tracking mechanics, as well as the Show Director feature, where a player can essentially watch over an ongoing match to call in a calamity or simply perform an act of providence.
Big Deals
With the beginning of the weekend arrives a wide assortment of sales from a range of PC game stores, and below, we have a selection of handpicked games that are near or below their historical discount rates.
If you"re a Humble Monthly subscriber, expect discounts from the store to be deeper than shown here, as you"re getting an additional 10% discount. The Humble Winter sale is slated to end its run on January 25.
