Back in August, WhartonBrooks revealed plans to launch a new Windows 10 Mobile device, claiming that its "innovative approach will define the future of computing", and that its innovations "will be the most disruptive since the advent of the smartphone in 2000".
However, doubts have been raised over whether or not WhartonBrooks can live up to its own hype, given that the only product images the company has shown to date appear to be of devices built by Coship - an ODM that has raised its own concerns over the future of Windows 10 Mobile.
WhartonBrooks said that its new device, which is due to launch under its "Cerulean Mobile" brand, would arrive this Fall, but those plans seem to have suffered a setback.
The @CeruleanMobile Twitter account has said that there is a "factory delay due to regulatory hurdles", which seems likely to push back the release of its new handset. The company said that it is "working through" the delay, but didn"t offer any further details, and it hasn"t yet indicated when exactly it expects to launch the device.
In early September, WhartonBrooks announced plans to host a "meet and greet" event at a Microsoft Store in Connecticut, to give Windows phone fans a chance to find out more about the company and what it"s been working on. But two days before that event, the company said that it had been postponed, as it needed "time to align schedules". The event hasn"t yet been rescheduled.
