A lot of us have been there. We have played games until the wee morning hours. Before you know it, it"s time to actually return to the real world and we discover that other things have happened in our absence. In the case of one fan of Activision"s hit first person shooter Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, he found that his wife had actually put him up for sale on Craigslist as a result of his hobby.
ABC News reports that Alyse Baddley"s ad on Craigslist for her husband Kyle said:
I am selling my 22 year old husband. He enjoys eating and playing video games all day. Easy to maintain, just feed and water every 3-5 hours. You must have Internet and space for gaming. Got tired of waiting so free to good home. If acceptable replacement is offered will trade.
The ad itself was, as most people might figure out, a joke by Alyse to get Kyle to figure out that playing Modern Warfare 3 was taking just a little too much of his time. Indeed she and Kyle"s mother actually wrote the ad together. While most of the people who responded to the ad got the humor, a few took it more seriously and ask Alyse if she was having problems with her marriage.
But not to worry; Kyle apparently got the message and is now spending less time on Modern Warfare 3. He and his wife should be spending Thanksgiving Day today with Kyle"s sister in Florida.
