While many people like the Nokia Lumia 920 for its Windows Phone 8 operating system and its hardware features, those same people have also admitted it"s a bit thicker than your average smartphone. Now there"s word that Chinese-based Huawei is planning to announce a very thin Windows Phone device next month.
cnBeta.com reports that, according to unnamed sources, Huawei will reveal that its upcoming Ascend W2 and it will be just 7.7 mm thick. It has been reported that Richard Yu, the head of the company"s mobile division, stated on his Sina Weibo account that the smartphone will be officially revealed during the Mobile World Congress trade show, which will be held in Barcelona in late February.
That same report claims that the Huawei Ascent W2 will have a 4.5 inch screen, a dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GBÂ of storage and an eight megapixel camera.
Huawei finally revealed the Ascend W1 at CES 2013 last week and there are rumors that the company is also working on a massive six inch Windows Phone 8 device that could be a rival to Samsung"s Galaxy Note family of products.
