Microsoft has released a tool that can be used by system administrators to stop the SNMP service if it is running, and disable it so that it can not be run after stopping. This tool is a logon script which can be used by the administrators to configure machines joined to a domain to not have the SNMP service running. This script/tool runs on the client only when they are started (booted).
