Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 10 and with it comes several updates to the Start menu, Edge and more; for a full list check out all of the updates here.
One feature that is now working with Edge (Microsoft still calls it Project Spartan in this build) is that if a webpage is playing audio, a notification can be seen in the tab; a feature that was added in the previous release also shows when a video is playing in a tab as well.
Take a look at the gif below to see the feature in action.
This is a simple addition to the browser but one that many will appreciate. Nearly everyone who browsers the web has found a page that randomly starts playing audio which leaves you scrambling to figure out how to turn it off. This feature, which is available on other browsers too, is a convenience item now checked off of Edge"s "to do" list and will be welcomed by many.
It"s quite easy to try it out, head on over to YouTube and play any video and you will see the audio icon show up in the tab.
Thanks for the tip Sky!
