Windows 10: 41% of testers installed the build on their desktop

Earlier this week, Microsoft released a new version of Windows 10 build 9860. This updated build has a lot of new features over 9841, many of which were not announced when the download went live.

Of those who downloaded the build, 41% installed it on their desktop, 32% on a laptop and just 2% on a tablet. The full breakdown is in the chart below.

This new build of Windows has quite a few enchantments to it as well, including native support for MKV files, new animations and more. If you haven"t updated yet, it is worth the time as the new features make the build a little bit more usable on a daily basis.

While Microsoft hasn"t said when the next build will be released, there are now two channels for the speed at which updates will be passed down to your machine. Because of this, we hope to see an even faster release cycle for those of us who want to live on the bleeding edge of Windows 10 releases.

If you have installed the build, let us know in the comments below if you are running it in a VM or went all in and are using the OS as your primary driver.
