It seems like such a long time ago when we had to wait for leaks of Windows builds to find out what was new; these days, we have the Windows Insider program, which is ramping up the speed of build delivery to its 2+ million consumer testers. Leakers can only expect to beat Microsoft to the punch by releasing the ISO images of certain milestones ahead of the company itself, or the odd partner shared build that isn"t available to Insiders, and today is such a day.
But be forewarned, the build is "tinkered with" or, to be perfectly clear, modified in some way. While we don"t know what is changed or baked into the ISO, it"s also only one version ahead of what is already available to Insiders, who might even get a new build to play around with today. So there"s no real reason for anyone to actually install this unofficial release.
Microsoft watchers had originally declared that the company would release a Cumulative update of Windows 10 for non Insiders yesterday, as well as an Insider preview of build 10586.71 for Windows 10 Mobile, but this never materialized, instead the Redmond company made an announcement that Windows Insiders could perform a workaround via the app to receive the latest firmware for their Lumia devices.
It"s not known how @WZorNET acquired build 11103, but it is the x64 version weighing in at 3.05 GB and named RS_1 build: 11103.1000.rs1_release.160116-0014, and as Gabe Aul warns, "installing unofficial builds is not recommended". In fact, even the MDL forums, notorious for covering leaked ISOs from Microsoft, has pulled the thread discussing this leak.
You have been warned.
