Fitbit has launched a new Windows 10 universal app that makes use of the new UI guidelines from Microsoft in addition to the inclusion of new features and support for Cortana.
Fitness wearables maker, Fitbit, has shown good support for Microsoft"s platforms as it has been available for Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone 8.1 since the beginning. Now, the company has shown the same commitment for Windows 10 by launching its new Universal Windows App today.
The new Fitbit app has been redesigned using the new Windows 10 design guidelines. It now supports Windows 10 features such as Cortana voice commands and Continuum. Notifications are now pushed to the Notification Center as expected. Activity updates are shown on the Live Tile, as it was with the previous app. The dashboard provides detailed information about the user"s day to day activities, and quick actions enable tracking and logging of activities.
As this is a universal app, it will be available for Windows 10 Mobile and the Xbox One once they are updated in the near future.
