Despite being pulled earlier this week due to some annoying bugs, Microsoft has told ZDNet that the update is once again available to download for the Lumia 950 and 950 XL.
Microsoft"s statement to ZDNet is as follows:
"After momentarily pausing the Windows 10 Mobile update due to an issue with the update server that impacted the installation of the update on a limited number of phones, we have addressed the issue and will begin rolling out the 10586.29 update again."
The statement appears to indicate that users of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL who were getting their update stuck on 0% - and in some cases, not being offered it at all, may have been addressed. It"s unclear which (if any) of the many reported bugs have been solved by the republishing of the update, but the company already stated on Tuesday that users who had successfully installed 10586.29 and didn"t downgrade will be unaffected, and will still receive future cumulative updates.
If you are one of those that didn"t manage to grab the update before it was pulled, or rolled back due to the bugs introduced with it, you should be able to apply the build now. The 10586.29 update does bring a number of bug and performance related fixes, so it"s worth giving it a shot if you can.
