Windows 10 Photos update lets you focus on a person in Story Remix

Microsoft is releasing an update for the Photos app on Windows 10 today. The new update allows you to focus on a particular person in your Story Remix.

Story Remix is a feature of the Photos app that debuted with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update in October. First announced at Build in May, it allows users to take a collection of photos and videos and automatically mix them into a compilation.

But now, users can pick the "star" of the movie. Story Remix will pick the clips that focus on that person, so you can "follow your child across the field in a montage of their soccer game, or highlight a friend at their birthday party reel."

To utilize this new feature, remix a video in the same way that you normally would. Choose the images and videos that you want to use, click "Remix it for me", and choose a story that you like. Once that"s done, use the "Choose a star" button, and the Remix will focus on that person.

The Photos update should be live now, and you"ll need to be on the Fall Creators Update to get it. To update your app through the Store, you can find the listing here.
